Publishing terms
Publishing a review
Beta terms · Version 2026-10-17
These terms apply when you publish a review from Scout Composer. Our Privacy page says what we keep and for how long. If you only open a review link and leave notes, see Using a review link.
Your frames, your responsibility
When you publish, you confirm that:
- the frames are yours, or you have every permission needed to share them this way. That includes the people who appear in them, and the locations, artwork, brands or designs in them where that matters;
- you choose what goes in the review and who gets the link, and you are responsible for both;
- you are 18 or older.
Your frames stay yours. You let Rebirth Productions LLC store them, make the copies and sizes the review needs, and show them to the people who open your link, only to run your review and only until it closes or you take it down.
What you can't publish
- Anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Anything defamatory or hateful.
- Sexual content.
- Anything that harms minors or puts them at risk.
- Someone's private information without their consent.
- Malware, or anything meant to harm a device.
- Anything used to harass, threaten or intimidate someone.
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as US law requires.
AI frames
Scout Composer labels frames made with an AI mock-up or AI stand-ins as an AI reference. Keep that label, and don't present an AI frame as a real photograph of a real person or place when it isn't one.
What we can do
- We can remove any review or any notes on it, and pause or end publishing for an account, at any time.
- We keep only what's needed to run your review, for as long as the Privacy page's Publish for review section says. If the law requires us to keep something longer, we keep it for that and nothing else.
Using a review link
A review link is for the people it was shared with. Leave notes in good faith, and don't pass the frames on beyond what the person who shared them allows. The list under What you can't publish applies to your notes too.
No promises, and limits
Publish for review is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. A review can be unavailable for a while, or lost. Your project file keeps everything you published.
As far as the law allows, Rebirth Productions LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost work, bookings or profits, that come from publishing or reviews. Our total liability for any claim about Publish for review is limited to US $100 or what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is more.
Covering claims
If someone makes a claim against Rebirth Productions LLC because of something you published or the way you shared it, you agree to cover the cost of that claim, including reasonable legal fees, and to help us answer it.
Reporting a review
Every review page has Report this review, which opens an email to [email protected]. Tell us the review's link and what's wrong. We read every report.
Copyright complaints
If you believe a review uses your copyrighted work without permission, send a notice to our designated agent:
Copyright notices go to our designated agent:
Copyright Agent, Rebirth Productions LLC
120 Green St, Apt 505, Newark, NJ 07105
609-424-4959
[email protected]
Please include:
- your signature (typed is fine);
- the work you believe is copied;
- the review's link, and which frames;
- your name, address, phone and email;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the work or may act for the owner.
We remove the frames promptly and tell the person who published them.
Counter-notice
If your frames were removed and you believe it was a mistake or a misidentification, send the same agent: your signature; the frames removed and where they were; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith they were removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone; and your consent to the federal court for your district (or, outside the US, any district where we can be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We pass it on to them. If the review is still open, we restore the frames 10 to 14 business days later, unless they tell us they have gone to court.
Repeat infringers
We respect the rights of copyright owners and expect people who publish on Scout Composer to do the same. When we receive a valid copyright notice about a review, we remove it and let the publisher know.
If we receive valid notices about reviews from the same account on three occasions within any 12-month period, we will end that account’s ability to publish reviews and may remove its other published reviews. A notice doesn’t count toward this if it is withdrawn, or if the review is restored after a counter-notice.
We may also end publishing access sooner where the circumstances call for it, for example where infringement is clearly deliberate.
If you believe your access was ended by mistake, contact [email protected].
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has its date at the top. A new version applies to reviews you publish after it, and the app asks you to agree again before your next publish.
Who we are, and the law
Scout Composer is made by Rebirth Productions LLC, a limited liability company in the United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the state where Rebirth Productions LLC is organized and by the laws of the United States, and disputes go to the courts of that state. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Publish for review is run from the United States. If you publish from somewhere else, you are responsible for following the laws where you are.
